The Associates of Brand raises funds through donations, memberships, grant, and active fundraising. In turn, we sponsor a wide range of programming that is always FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC:
THE SUMMER MUSIC SERIES
Presented outdoors on Friday evenings from June through August, this relaxed, open-air venue includes an exciting and eclectic array of musical performers.
THE MUSIC SERIES
Occuring throughout the Winter to Spring timeframe, the Music Series features renown, award-winning artists performing a variety of classical and contemporary compositions.
THE DANCE SERIES
The internationally acclaimed Dance Series includes original works performed by Southern California’s top dance ensembles. The works are often site-specific and performed to interact with the unique architecture or exhibitions inside and outside of the library.
CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS
The Make It and Music Animated programs give children of all ages a chance to express themselves with hands-on crafts and music making.
THE GALLERY
The Associates of Brand help to support four to six exhibitions each year in The Brand’s beautiful art gallery. The nationally renowned annual juried Works on Paper exhibition is one of The Associates’ main fundraisers.
ARTful CONVERSATIONS
This innovative program educates attendees about Gallery exhibitions and then guides them to engage and reflect on their experience through writing poetry.
THE REEL ART FILM SERIES
Offered periodically throughout the year, the Reel Art Film Series presents films that focus on the arts in unique ways. Evenings include a post-screening Q and A session with the film’s director or someone with expertise on the film’s subject.
