PLAZA SERIES: Bridge to Everywhere
Los Angeles-based collective Bridge to Everywhere performs a cross-cultural program of contemporary music that reflects our interconnected world, featuring works by Poovalur Srinivasan, Rabih Abou-Khalil, Juan Pablo Contreras and others. The program explores connections found across diverse musical traditions, including Hindustani and Carnatic classical music, traditional West African music, Mexican folk music, Arabic music, Western classical music, and jazz.
The ensemble is comprised of seven musicians whose passion and excitement for new music move them to take bold risks and explore the unfamiliar. From string quintet to oud to percussion from around the world, Bridge to Everywhere strives to build new bridges between instruments, genres, cultures and people.
