Music Series – Bokyung Byun

Bokyung Byun will perform a program titled Music From America that includes new pieces from young U.S. composers along with major South American composers.  She will play music by Celil Refik Kaya, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Jack Frerer, Nicky Sohn, Theo Chandler, Tiffany Cuaresma, Agustin Barrios, Manuel Ponce and Leo Brouwer. Byun won the 2021 Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition – the first female guitarist to win the award in 20 years.
